I was born in Germany.  As a child, I lived with my family in Middle Germany close to the Rhine River. I loved to explore the Rhine River shores. The river stones turned into sparkling jewels and the river willows held mystery and surprise for me. Recreating the magic of my childhood, I work to capture these magical moments in my drawings.

As a university student, I moved to Munich where I studied engineering and then worked for an international computer company. I worked as a computer expert and manager, living more and more in a highly technical and industrial environment.

During those ten years, I almost forgot about the magical worlds that exist around us here on Earth.

 

The most exciting adventure in my life began with my rediscovery of my love for art. Through pursuing art, I learned to approach my life with an open heart.

I again saw the joy and the sparkle of beauty of Life on Earth.

When I decided to become an artist, I knew it would be essential for me to get good training and education as quickly as possible. I searched to find artists whose work I admired, who would be willing to work with me directly.

I had the good fortune to meet Osprey Orielle Lake, a world-renowned sculptress, who works with me on design and composition. To learn the art of etching, I apprenticed with an experienced and seasoned etching artist from Tuscany.    

I am living in California in Marin County enjoying the Redwood Forests and ocean shores.  I find beauty and magic in the forests and rivers of my new country, evoking memories and imagination of childhood.
